APRIL GENERAL MEETING MINUTES

DATE & TIME: 4/8/10 @ 7 PM

LOCATION: OLD ERIE PUB & GRILL - MIDDLETOWN , NY

Everyone in attendance was greeted by Club President, Todd Jennings .

CLUB BUSINESS & INFORMATION:

• Treasurer, George Shurter, gave his monthly Treasurer's Report.
• Membership Report shows 200 out of 306 members are renewed now for 2010.
• E-mail reminder for membership renewals will go out this week.
• Track Coach, Bill Schneider gave monthly Track Report stating attendance has been ranging 25 – 40 participants weekly. Anyone interested in attending can meet the club at The Monhagen Middle School Track on County Rte. 78 on Wednesdays. Warm-up is 5:45 PM and track begins at 6 PM .
• ORC 30 th Anniversary – We are still discussing ideas. A run and picnic discussed at last month's meeting seems to be the most favored.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

• HV15K – Sunday, 4/11.
• Interclub Challenge 5K – Sunday, 4/25 @ Rock Hill .
• Classic 10K – Sunday, 4/13.

SHOUT OUTS / MEMBER ANNOUNCEMENTS:

• Bob Nordman completed The Yakima River Canyon Marathon from Ellensburg to Selah WA in 3:40:02 .
• Kevin Wippel winning The Wurtsboro Mountain 30K and Road Relay with a time of 1:53:19 . Also to Bill Schneider who ran this race for his first time.

GUEST SPEAKER:

• Tonight's guest speaker was Member, Brian Baird. Brian spoke about nutrition for athletes.

Meeting was adjourned at 9:15 PM . Next month's meeting will be Wednesday, 5/12 at Old Erie Pub & Grill in Middletown , NY . Food at 7 PM and meeting at 7:30 PM .
