Orange Runners Club - Summer Sizzle 5k

Thanks to all who turned out not only to race but also to volunteer and help out at the inaugural Summer Sizzle XC 5k.

We had some great running weather and competition on the beautiful and challenging course and it was a unforgettable start into the world of off road summertime cross country running (for some of us).
Hope you enjoyed it!

Will be held on an off road cross country course using the well groomed Sanfordville Elementary School cross country 5k course at the Home of the Wildcats.

Summer Sizzle race director, and our track coach, Justin DePierro has assured me this course will knock our socks off, and we will see some great running here.

Plan to come out in July and enjoy a change of pace running on the beautiful greenery of Orange County in the inaugural Summer Sizzle.

Parking is available in the school lots and the event will be held rain or shine. Please respect the school property and don't litter or deface the course. Strollers and animals are not allowed. Thank you!

Our Summer Sizzle XC 5k has a goal to raise money for the launch of the Shoe Program. The mission of The Shoe Program is to ensure that every young athlete, regardless of their financial background, has access to high-quality running shoes and gear that are correctly fitted to their needs. We believe that no athlete should be held back by the lack of proper equipment, and we are committed to making a difference in the lives of these young runners. The Orange Runners Club wants to ensure that an athlete’s first experiences in Cross Country and Track & Field are positive to develop future life-long runners, which aligns with the mission of the ORC.
