Orange Runner's Club

The Herby Waterman ORC Winter Series

January and February of 2017

The Winter Series is over. Congratulations to the winners and thank you to all that participated including our sponsors who make the event possible and special thanks to Honor for allowing us to use their facilities. The racing season is now starting up in full running gear. Check out the Races and Results section for upcoming races.

The ORC Winter Series has been around for just about as long as the Orange Runners Club has been in existence, and this year is no exception. Again the location is back to its roots and takes place as a four-part series of 5K races over the months of January and February. The series tests both a runners ability to brave the elements and his/her fitness level at a time of year when most runners have bagged the running shoes up for trips to the gym.

The series takes place on the Middletown Community Campus, an open course and not heavily trafficked so ideal for a road race. The surface is all pavement, but the chance for water hazards because of the Winter season such as snow and ice make it a potential technical challenge. It will be two loops starting and and ending near the HONORehg building, 38 Seward Ave.

Many thanks for the warm welcome and accommodations for the Herby Waterman Winter Series to the HONORehg organization. It is much appreciated by the club and runners!
